Privacy policy

Milemark currently requires no account, login, or payment to use — everything in the catalog is free and open. This policy describes the limited data collected simply by visiting the site.

Standard web server and hosting logs: the pages you request, your IP address, browser/user agent, and timestamp — the same information any web server records automatically. Milemark does not ask for your name, email, or any account information, because there is no account system yet. If a search box is used, the search text is processed to return results and is not stored beyond what's needed to serve that page.

Milemark does not currently set tracking or advertising cookies. Its hosting provider (Railway) and any future analytics tool may use minimal technical cookies necessary to serve the site reliably.

Server logs are used only to operate, secure, and improve the site — for example, diagnosing errors or understanding which pages get traffic. They are not used to build advertising profiles.

Milemark does not sell personal data. Logs and hosting data are only accessible to the infrastructure providers needed to run the site (currently Railway for hosting and Supabase for the database), under their own standard hosting agreements.

Milemark is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If Milemark later adds free accounts or a paid tier, this policy will be updated first to describe exactly what's collected (such as an email address) and how it's used, before that feature ships.
